Samba, September 06: Police has recovered a kidnapped minor girl from district Kathua in a kidnapping case registered at Police Station Vijaypur and arrested the accused kidnapper.

A written complaint was lodged at Police Station Vijaypur by the mother of missing girl, a resident of Budwal tehsil Vijaypur district Samba, stating therein that her daughter went to the market and did not return home.

Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 119/2024 u/s 137(2) BNS got registered at Police Station Vijaypur and search was started to trace the said kidnapped girl.

Special teams of PS Vijaypur constituted by SDPO Vijaypur under SHO PS Vijaypur conducted raids at different places and finally after hectic efforts coupled with technical analysis succeeded in recovering the said kidnapped girl from district Kathua and arrested the kidnapper namely Raman Kumar S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Vijaypur district Samba.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
