Jammu, October 13: Continuing its drive under Operation *Sanjeevani* against drug trafficking and substances abuse, Miran Sahib Police achieved success by recovering 50 grams of heroin, from 03 drug peddlers in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Miran Sahib.

A Police team of PS Miran Sahib led by SHO PS Miran Sahib while on routine patrolling, established a naka below Fly over Ring Road Kotli Main Fateh in the jurisdiction of PS Miran Sahib and rounded up 03 suspected persons who were coming on a Motorcycle bearing registration No. JKO2DG-7767, later identified as *1. Mohd. Mushtaq@ Channi S/o Mohd. Butta R/o Village Kothey Sheikh Miran Sahib, 2. Shubham Sharma S/o Pawan Kumar R/o Kashmiri Basti Brij Nagar and 3. Vishal Kataria S/o Subash Chander R/o Village Gazian Tehsil R.S.Pura.*
During search, approx. 50 grams of heroin, got recovered from their possession.

*In this regard, case FIR No. 101/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Miran Sahib and accused got arrested*.

Further, investigation of the case is going on. Jammu Police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused persons is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.

Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
