December 06: `Police in Kupwara have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance and cash from their possession.

A Police party of Police Station Kupwara arrested two drug peddlers during patrolling at Regipora Sumo Stand. They have been identified as Faizan Ahmad Zarger son of Reyaz Ahmad Zarger and Tulha Zarger son of Late Gh Hassan Zarger, both residents of Tikker, Kupwara. During search, 4 grams of Brown Sugar and Cash amounting to ₹35,000/- have been recovered from their possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 279/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kupwara and investigation has been initiated.
