MAJOR STRIKE ON #DRUG PEDDLERS ;16 BOOKED UNDER PREVENTIVE ACTION; LODGED IN JAIL : #REASI POLICE

In a major strike against drug peddlers , District Police Reasi,
booked 16 drug peddlers and lodged them in District Jail Reasi.

2. Today Teams of District Police Reasi raided on different hotspots for drug peddling in Reasi and Katra town and picked up 10 suspected Drug peddlers from Reasi Town and 06 drug peddlers from Katra town and booked them in preventive sections of BNS and Lodged them in Judicial custody.

Suspected notorious drug peddlers namely 1) Surinder Singh S/O Prem Singh R/O Parthal 2) Yash Pal Singh S/O Joginder Singh R/O Serwad Katra 3) Vikram Singh S/O Rumal Singh R/O Gunni Parthal Katra 4) Rakesh Kumar S/O Bishan Dass R/O Shiba Tehsil Nagrota Jammu 5) Shakeel Wani S/O Showkat Wani R/O Ujh Pul Tehsil Ramkote Kathua 6) Jeevan Kumar S/O Mohan Lal R/O Matyal Katra, 7) Ghulam Ali S/O Abdul Kareem R/O Kans Khasan Tehsil and Distt. Reasi 8) Rouf Mir S/O Mohd Iqbal R/O Muslim Mohalla Reasi 9) Ganesh Kumar @ Gavi S/O Prabhu Dyal R/O Seela Tehsil and distt. Reasi 10) TabrezHussain S/O Mohd Iqbal R/O W. No. 7 Muslim Mohalla Reasi 11) Abhijeetsingh S/O Jamal Singh R/O Kundran A/P Naibasti Reasi 12) Sanjay Kumar S/O Chet Ram R/O Seela Tehsil and distt. Reasi 13) Bablu Kumar S/O Sham Lal R/O AgharBallian , Reasi 14) Deepak Kumar S/O ChanderShekhar R/O Shiv Nagar Reasi 15) Manik Sharma S/O Yashpal Sharma R/O Trintha Reasi 16) Sahil Rajput S/O Lehar singh R/O Nai basti Reasi who were earlier booked in various drug peddling cases and were continuously supplying drugs to the youth of Reasi and Katra Town were arrested and booked by the orders of Executive Magistrates Reasi and Katra lodged them in District Jail Reasi.

4. Sharing the details Sr. Superintendent of Police Reasi conveyed that on one hand Reasi Police is taking punitive actions against drug peddlers and they are being booked in NDPS ACT, on the other hand Preventive action is being taken against suspected drug peddlers which is required to save our future generations.

5. SSP further added that in coming days more such actions will be taken by Police and Reasi Police will leave no stone unturned to save the youth of district Reasi.
