Police facilitates interactive meeting with retired police personnel in Baramulla, Shopian


July 23: `In order to enquire the wellbeing, welfare measures and redress grievances of retired police officers, interactive meetings were held in Baramulla and Shopian.

In Baramulla, the meeting was held at DPHQ Baramulla and was chaired by SSP Baramulla Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS. The meeting was also attended by DySP Hqrs Baramulla, SDPO Kreeri & DySP DAR DPL Baramulla. In Shopian, the meeting was held at DPL Shopian and was chaired by DySP DAR Shopian Shri Javaid Ahmad-JKPS.

During these meeting, representatives of the Retired Police Officers Association presented various issues. They were assured that their genuine demands and problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for redressal. It was also made clear that they are always welcome to offer valuable suggestions, given their long service and hard work in earning a name for J&K Police.

The participants were briefed on various measures taken by the department for their welfare. Charing officers also assured the participants that J&K Police is always at their disposal and that they remain part of the police organization, free to approach any police officer or unit at any time with their grievance.```
