Jammu,18.11: Cyber Cell of DPO Jammu a dedicated wing of Jammu Police has once again been in thick of the lights as this office has unearthed and settled a financial fraud to the tune of Rs.4,45,999/-
Complaint in this regard was received in cyber cell in which victim received a malware and fake apk file having no authentic source of generation on 1.11.2024 and victim accessed the same file inadvertently, no sooner his mobile got hacked and the hacker took control of all bank related details which were digitally connected through server got transferred an amount of Rs.4,45,999/- from victim's account. Victim, noticing the fraud after a gap of more than a weeks time reported the matter in cyber cell DPO Jammu on 10th Nov 2024.

With the timely intervention and showing the professional excellence meticulously ,Cyber Cell DPO Jammu started timely investigations into the complaint through its professional wings specifically trained for the purpose and within stipulated time the teams constituted for the cause settled the case by displaying an ultimate display of professional excellence. The team got put on hold an aggregate amount of Rs 4,26,000/- out of Rs.4,45,999/-.which otherwise could have been misused and fraudulently transacted for various unfair means.
