Jammu, January, 15th, 2025:- The Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters & Coordination, Shri M.K Sinha, IPS, attended the closing ceremony of the 4-week-long Special Operations Group (SOG) training program as the chief guest. The closing ceremony marked the culmination of an intensive training initiative organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu, at the Commando Training Centre, Sunjwan, aimed at enhancing the operational and tactical efficiency of police personnel.
2. The comprehensive training program focused on equipping trainees with advanced and specialized techniques crucial for counter-terrorism operations and public safety and covered various aspects, including physical fitness and combat strategies. The training emphasized mental fortitude, discipline, and the ability to handle critical situations with precision and confidence.
3. Speaking on the occasion, the ADGP HQ lauded the trainees for their dedication and resilience throughout the program. He highlighted the importance of such training initiatives in building a capable and confident police force ready to address complex operational challenges. The ADGP Jammu zone also commended the organizers, instructors, and trainees for their collective efforts in making the program a success.
4. During the closing ceremony, ADGP HQ and ADGP Jammu distributed two individual and two district awards, namely, trainee-adjusted best in firing and best in endurance and districts-adjusted best in firing and endurance.
5. Shri Abrar Chowdhary, Principal, Commando Training Center, Sunjwan, gave a vote of thanks at the end of the closing ceremony. Smt. Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG Trainings PHQ J&K; Dr. Surinder Choudhary, Dy. CO IRP 14 Bn; other gazetted officers; instructors; and trainees were present on the occasion.
