Samba, July 09: Police under operation Sanjeevani arrested a lady drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur, district Samba and recovered 5.64 gms heroin like substance from her possession.

A Police Party of PS Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during surprise vehicle checking naka at Canal Road Shivnagar Vijaypur, noticed a lady moving in the area under suspicious circumstances. During frisking by lady Police official, approximately 5.64 gms heroin like substance alongwith weighing machine was recovered from the possession of said accused lady.

The lady drug peddler namely Zaitoon Bibi W/o Roshan Din R/o Rakh Barotain Vijaypur has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized by the police.

A case FIR No. 90/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
