Poonch, September 15:In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers, Poonch Police, under the operation "*Sanjeevani,*" made a significant breakthrough on 14-09-2024, apprehending two drug peddlers namely Waqar Younis S/O Mohd Mishri R/O Digwar Maldayalan and Shabir Hussain S/O Late Shakir Din R/O Digwar Terwan and found *12.28 grams of heroin like subastance* from their possession.

The diligent efforts of the police team of BPP Ajote led by IC BPP Ajote and SHO Police Station Poonch culminated in the arrest of the accused near Dhalan Bridge,Ajote Poonch. The recovery was made under the supervision of DySP HQs Poonch.

In this connection,a case FIR No. 167/2024 U/S 8/20/21/29 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Poonch, marking a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.
