Jammu,July 11: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse under Operation *SANJEEVANI* Jammu Police achieved
success by recovering 34 grams of heroin(Chitta)and three persons were arrested under the jurisdiction of P/S Nagrota.

A Police team of Police Post Sidhra led by SI Mohd Bashir of PP Sidhra while on naka duty at Bajalta Morh in the jurisdiction of PP Sidhra rounded up three suspectes person,later identified as
Fasal Nazir
S/O Nazir Ahmed R/O Batmaloo Srinagar.
2.Adnaan Rasool S/O Ghulam Rasool R/O Qamarwari, Srinagar and 3.Basit Ahmed S/O Mohd.Yusaf
R/O Qamarwari, Srinagar
during search 34 gms of heroin was recovered from their possession.

In this regard case FIR No. 197/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Nagrota and accused’s arrested accordingly.

Further investigation of the case is going on including forward and backward linkages in the case.

Jammu Police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs
supply chain.
