Immovable Property Acquired through Proceeds of Narcotics valuing approx. 20 lakhs attached

Rajouri, July 12: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district has attached properties valuing approximately over 20 lakhs rupees as the said properties were proven to be acquired through illegal means and proceeds of narcotics trade.

Police in its official statement said that a team of Police Station Rajouri has attached a residential complex valuing around 20 lakhs in Thudi area of Tehsil & District Rajouri.

The residential complex belong to notorious drug peddler namely Mehroz Azam son of Late Mohd Azam, resident of Thudi area of Rajouri.

The property has been attached under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985.

Police said that the mentioned immovable property, during course of investigation in case FIRs no. 431/2022 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act; & 148/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act have been proved to be acquired from proceeds of narcotic and illegal means and thus the said property U/ 68F of NDPS Act has been attached.

A team of police headed by Addl. SP Rajouri, DySP Hqrs Rajouri, SHO PS Rajouri & ICPP City attached the property as per the laid down procedure of law in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class Rajouri.
