Police team from Police Post Tikri led by SHO PS Rehambal and assisted by IC PP Tikri while performing routine naka checking at Tikri naka point stopped one vehicle bearing registration number HR26BP 4775 (toyota Etios) for checking purpose.

On frisking of driver and co-driver of the vehicle, approx. 15.83 grams of heroin (chitta) like Contraband substance was recovered from the possession of driver namely Anif Ayub Dar S/O Mohd. Ayub Dar R/O Bhagi Sunderbala Chattabal, Srinagar and co-driver namely Tahir Ahmed S/O Ali Mohd R/O Safa Kadal Srinagar. Both the accused persons were arrested on spot.

On this, a case vide FIR No. 165/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.
