Ramban, 21 July: In continuation of drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu and Kashmir Police in District Ramban held one person and recovered heroin like Substance from his Possession.
A team of Police Station Chanderkote led by PSI Rajnesh while on naka checking at Kunfer Tunnel stopped a i20 Car bearing Registration number JK02AN-1273 for checking which was coming from Jammu towards Srinagar.
The driver of above said vehicle disclosed his identity as Stanzin Choshpel S/O Konchok Tsepail R/O village Chuchot Tehsil Shamma District Leh During the process of checking 07 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of Stanzin Choshpel S/O Konchok Tsepail R/O Chuchot Tehsil Shamma District Leh.
In this regard, case FIR No.107/2024 under section 8/21NDPS Act got registered in PS Chanderkote. The above named persons was taken into police custody and vehicle used in the commission of offence also seized. The investigation of the case is going on to establish the backward and forward linkages.
