July 21: Continuing its drive against social crimes, Police in Baramulla have arrested 03 gamblers and seized stake money and playing cards.

Acting on a reliable information regarding the gambling activities, a police party headed by SHO Police Station Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla raided at Cheradari Baramulla. During raid, 03 Gamblers were arrested red handed while gambling & Stake money of Rs-30,000/- & playing cards were recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Wazir Ahmad Din son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Kanlibagh, Mohd Altaf son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Ushkara & Ishfaq Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Majeed resident of Rangwar Baramulla. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.```
