SSP KISHTWAR CHAIRS SUBSIDIARY MULTI-AGENCY (SMAC) MEETING TO ENSURE SECURITY AHEAD OF FORTHCOMING SHRI MACHAIL MATA YATRA-2024

Kishtwar, July 22: In a concerted effort to bolster security and intelligence collaboration, SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, chaired a pivotal Subsidiary Multi-Agency Centre (SMAC) meeting at the District Police Headquarters Kishtwar today. The session saw the attendance of officers from the Police, Army, CAPF, and various intelligence agencies operating within the district.

The meeting involved a comprehensive discussion on the current security landscape, with participants exchanging critical insights, suggestions, and assessments. The primary focus was on formulating joint strategies for efficient ground monitoring. This included plans for effective area domination, surveillance on anti-social elements, real-time intelligence sharing, and social media monitoring in view of Shri Machail Mata Yatra. Specific instructions were issued to ensure robust security measures during these significant occasions.

SSP Kishtwar emphasized the necessity of a unified approach to maintain the district’s peaceful atmosphere. Strategies were carefully devised to preempt disruptive activities, and counter rumor dissemination, particularly during the Shri Machail Mata Yatra and other festivals.
