The two victims namely Abneesh Kumar and Amandeep Singh were refunded of Rs 1,40,000/- and Rs 9,58,00/- respectively amounting to total amount of Rs 2,35,800/- from various investment scheme linked scams but due to swift action and conscientious efforts, the Cyber Cell Reasi has been able to refund money back to the victims.

District Cyber Cell, reiterates to the general public to remain vigilant and don’t fall prey to investment related schemes promising lucrative returns through various investment apps/links and promptly report any suspicious online activity to the National Cybercrime Helpline Number 1930 or report financial fraud at www.cybercrime.gov.in

District Police Reasi also appeals to the public to not fall prey to trending "Digital Arrest Scams' creating panic and looting innocent people.
