Kishtwar, December 25; In a significant breakthrough, J&K Police in Kishtwar district apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past six years.

2. Sharing the details, SSP Kishtwar, stated that District Police Kishtwar had developed credible information about the fugitive. Acting on this information, a special team led by SHO P/S Kishtwar was constituted. Following the instructions, the team raided the suspected location and apprehended the wanted absconder, *identified as Manzoor Ahmed, S/O Qasim Bakerwal, resident of Narsoo Nallah, Udhampur.*
3. ⁠The absconder was wanted in connection with Case FIR No. 112/2019 under Sections 366, 376.D/344 RPC of Police Station Kishtwar. After his arrest, legal proceedings were promptly initiated.
4. ⁠SSP Kishtwar issued a stern warning to all fugitives, urging them to surrender at the nearest police station. He further emphasized that strict action under Section 82/83 Cr. PC would be taken against those who continue to evade the law
