Continue to drive against Drug menace campaign today on 26-12-2024 Range Police Headquarters, Jammu has organised a significant drug Awareness Campaign under the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan”. This ambitious drug awareness campaign aimed at fostering a drug free community through a Nukad Natak (a team of Nav Durga Kala Manch) headed by Shazi Khan. The programme is conducted at Main Chowk, Samba under Civic Action Programme-2024 under the guidance of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS and overall supervision of Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch (JKPS) SSP, SO to DIG JSK Range.
Programme started with the warm welcome of Chief Guest Sh. Varinder Singh Manhas (JKPS) SSP Samba and guest of Honour Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP (JKPS) SO to DIG JSK Range, Sh. Garu Ram Bardwaj (JKPS) Addl. SP Samba and Sh. Bhism Dubey (JKPS) Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba.
While addressing to media Sh. Varinder Singh Manhas SSP Samba stated that beside studies students/youth also should take part in the sports, cultural activities and stay away from the drugs, negative forces and bad company. He also warned drug paddlers to stop drug paddling and ensured they dealt strictly under law. In the Programme Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP said that youth is a backbone of the Nation and it is very important to sensitize our youth in every section of the society on the subject of drug abuse.
Team Nukad Natak awarded with Cash Prize from RPHQ Jammu on the directions of DIG JSK Range for their outstanding performance related to drug abuse and its bad effects. General Public, Civil Society Members, and Students present in the programme appreciated and thanked Jammu & Kashmir Police RPHQ, Jammu for organising such knowledgeable and entertaining event. These events will provide valuable message and resources to help individuals make informed decisions.
In the occasion, SHO Samba Sh. Sandeep Charak, Naib Tehsildar Samba Sh. Snok Chand, PSI Dr. Deepika Jalotra and other Prominent citizen were present to graced the occasion. SI Suresh Kumar, ASI Jasbir Singh and Sgct Ishant Sharma from Range Police Hqrs. Jammu were also present in the venue for smooth conduct of the event.
